Bargaining Unit Announcement: This is a bargaining unit position with American Federation of State, County & Municipal Employees (AFSCME).
Contingent Upon Funding: Contingent upon external funding
Standard Work Schedule: Standard (M-F, 8-5)
If Not a Standard Work Schedule: Some after hours and/or Saturdays may be required for recruiting events
Job Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in planning, organizing, scheduling and conducting lessons and activities for young children. May supervise indoor and outdoor activities of children; assist in feeding children; may make referral reports; attends staff meetings, in-service training sessions and other work related functions as necessary; May guide children in eating, resting and toileting; may be responsible for the care of toddlers; assists in keeping areas tidy; maintains discipline and guidance; may assist in keeping records; assists with teacher/parent conferences; may administer pre and post assessments; may address student/parent concerns; may record behavior; may monitor records; performs related work as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
High School diploma + 1 years of relevant experience, or higher degree.

Environment: Work is normally performed indoors.
Physical Effort: Light physical effort. Effort applies to no more than two (2) hours per day.
